Day 1: Welcome to Sri Lanka

Begin your Sri Lankan adventure with a warm welcome upon arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport, followed by a transfer to your accommodation in Negombo. Depending on your arrival time, an initial meet-and-greet is planned for the evening.

Day 2: Journey to Wilpattu and Anuradhapura

Head northwest to Wilpattu National Park, the largest and oldest wildlife reserve in Sri Lanka. Join a guided safari that explores the unique ecosystem of the park, known for its natural lakes called “willus” that support diverse wildlife, including the elusive leopard, the park’s main attraction.

Wilpattu is home to many animals like sloth bears, spotted deer, buffalo, and Asian elephants. The park features a variety of environments, from dense forests and scrublands to open grasslands, all supporting a rich array of life.

Day 3: From Anuradhapura to Minneriya and Girithale

In the afternoon, visit Minneriya National Park, known for “The Gathering,” the world’s largest meeting of Asian Elephants. Here, elephants, along with other wildlife such as deer and leopards, gather annually around the ancient Minneriya Tank. Day 4: Bird watching village tour

After breakfast, set off on a scenic bike ride starting at the Girithale Reservoir. Day 5: From Girithale to Sigiriya to Kandy

Explore the majestic Sigiriya Rock Fortress, known as Lion Rock, which showcases ancient Sri Lankan techniques in architecture and vibrant frescoes from the 5th century AD. This site is famous for its significant historical art.

Continue to Kandy, nestled in the central hills, where you’ll visit the sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic, a crucial site for Buddhists that houses Buddha’s tooth. On your way, stop at a Spice Garden in Matale to learn about the local flora and Sri Lanka’s rich spice history.

Day 8: Nuwara Eliya

In the afternoon, we arrive at Yala National Park, Sri Lanka’s second-largest wildlife sanctuary, renowned for having the highest density of leopards in the world. The park’s varied habitats, including forests, grasslands, and coastal lagoons, are home to diverse wildlife, including many bird species like the Malabar Hornbill, Painted Stork, and Ceylon Junglefowl. Day 11: Yala to Sinharaja

Travel from Yala to Sinharaja, moving from the dry landscapes of Sri Lanka’s southeast to the lush green rainforests of Sinharaja, a UNESCO World Heritage site. This forest, set between 270-1060 meters high, is famous for its incredible biodiversity and unique plants and animals.     • If you cancel more than 90 days before the tour commencement date, the charge will be 5% of the tour price.
    • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
  • No refunds are available for unused services or if activities are missed.
  • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
  • This experience requires good weather. If it’s cancelled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

Your tour’s itinerary will be sent to you once we have received your enquiry. This will include a daily overview of the trip and some other general tour information as well as anything you need to consider in advance. This will include things like information ATMs, currency, optional excursions, tipping, and packing lists. Once your booking is confirmed and payment made, your final tour itinerary will be sent, approximately 2-3 weeks before you arrive, with full details including the hotels you will stay at.

  • We offer smaller packaged tours as we feel this gives a better experience for all, tour groups range in size but are generally from 6 – 18 people maximum. Apart from this, we offer customized tours, solo tours, and Exotic tour packages as well.

  • Sri Lanka has a tropical climate with two distinct wet seasons or monsoons. The southwest monsoon brings rain to that area of the island between April and September. The northeast monsoon takes place from October to January and only really affects the north and east coastal regions. Generally, you should expect rain for some time but with plenty of sunshine. Year-round high temperatures in coastal regions: Colombo averages 27°C. It is much cooler in the hills with Kandy averaging 20°C and Nuwara Eliya down to 16°C. Spring-like temperatures are felt in the hill country and is chilly in the evenings. Sea water temperature could range from 22 -27 degrees all year round.

  • Passports All nationalities require a full passport that must be valid for 6 months beyond the intended length of stay. It is your responsibility to have the correct personal documents to enter Sri Lanka. Visa As visa requirements differ based on the country you are traveling from, we are unable to advise as a whole.
