Day 1
Arrival/Negombo
On arrival at the Bandaranayke International Airport you will be greeted by our tour guide or chauffeur and transferred to the hotel. In the afternoon you will meet your tour guide and get a brief Introduction to the tour
Day 2
Dambulla/Girithale
After breakfast, you will be driven to the north central part of the Island with a stop for a comfort break by a beautiful lake in Kurunegala. On the way to Girithale, you will witness the Golden Cave Temple
Day 3
Girithale
After a short drive to the Girithale reservoir, you will go on a leisurely cycle ride through the adjoining villages and witness the beauty of the surrounding and rural life first hand
Day 4
Girithale/Sigiriya
The Lion Rock in Sigiriya is one of the world-famous historical monuments in Sri Lanka. Hailed as the 8th wonder of the world, this monument depicts ancient Sri Lankan marvels of irrigation, architecture, hydraulics, painting, poetry and urban planning which date back to the 5th century AD
Day 8
Nuwara Eliya – Horton Plains
An early start and an hour’s drive from the hotel will get you to the entrance of the Horton Plains National Park. You will be prepared with a packed breakfast to set out on a 9.5km walk around a beautiful plateau situated 2000 meters above sea level
Day 5
Polonnaruwa/Kandy
After an early breakfast, you will proceed to Polonnaruwa, the medieval kingdom established by the Great King Vijayabahu who banished invaders in 10th century AD
Day 6
Kandy
After an early breakfast, you will proceed to the hill-country capital of Kandy. Kandy is situated at the doorstep of the central hills and lies 1500 feet above sea level. The city is surrounded by a lush green range of mountains
Day 7
Kandy/Nuwaraeliya
In the morning you will take a scenic train ride* from Kandy to Nanuoya. In the afternoon, you will visit a tea factory.
The British introduced tea to Ceylon as a cash crop, and today tea is one of the main exports of the country

Day 9
Thissamaharama
Enjoy the winding roads adjoining deep precipices that give way to a stunning view as you drive through the Ella gap towards the island’s southeast end.
In the afternoon, you will set out on the Yala safari. The Yala National Park offers a diverse range of experiences; thrilling safari rides through the thick jungle, golden sandy beaches, and plenty of wildlife to spot
Day 10
Thissamaharama /Singharaja
After breakfast, you will drive to what is akin to a nature lover’s paradise. Singharaja is the most significant remaining stretch of tropical rainforest in Sri Lanka and is home to numerous endemic trees, epiphytes, birds, and amphibians. You will also encounter different types of mammals and butterflies in the forest.
Day 11
Singharaja
In the early morning, there will be a bird-watching session before breakfast. And you can walk through this biodiversity hotspot at your own pace.
Day 12
Singharaja/South Coast
After breakfast, you will proceed to the south coast. In the afternoon, you will visit the old Dutch fortress in Galle and enjoy a relaxing walk along the ramparts facing the Indian Ocean.
Day 13
Galle
There are two optional excursions that can be arranged while you’re in Galle. You can go on a relaxing boat ride on the Koggala Lake and sail to a traditional cinnamon tapper’s island. And if you are interested, you can also visit a turtle hatchery
Day 14
Airport
This is the end of your memorable tour through Sri Lanka, and you will be transferred to the airport to board your flight home
